Plein air oil paintings are her frequent subject and all landscapes are done on location - in California from Morro Bay to Bishop to Mendocino. Many are familiar local scenes in Menlo Park, Palo Alto and the Bay Area. Other sites have been in Idaho, the San Juan Islands, New Mexico, Colorado and France.

Diana's studies have been with notable artists including Ted Goerschner, Edward Norton Ward, Joyce Pike, Kevin Macpherson, Duane Wakeham and Charles Movali. She is a juried member of the Pacific Art League where she regularly attends life drawing classes. She is active with the Menlo Art League and a Signature member and Board member of the Society of Western Artists.
